Actually… Global progress against child labour has stagnated since 2016. The percentage of children in child labour remained unchanged over the four year period while the absolute number of children in child labour increased by over 8 million. 

Actually… Of the 152 million children in child labour, about half of them (72.5 million) perform hazardous work that places their health, safety or moral development at risk. The Convention was the most rapidly ratified Convention in ILO history.

Actually… The term “child labour” is associated with work that deprives children of their childhood, their potential, and their dignity, and is harmful to their physical and mental development. Voluntary work, by contrast, does not always affect children’s health, education, or personal development.

Actually…  The last conference was held in Argentina in 2017. It is a moment for countries around the world to share knowledge on policies and good practices, and reaffirm their commitment to eliminate child labour.
