On the pledge:
The main purpose is to better link our efforts to combat modern slavery, and other efforts in our development cooperation policy, such as education, as the latter is proven to prevent the worst forms of child labour.
On the implementation:
A launch event will be held to draw attention to the issue and for other Governments to learn from Norway’s example.
On the impact:
A central part of the strategy will be to strengthen the relationship between our modern slavery efforts and global education portfolio, as education is one of the most important elements in preventing children and young people from being exploited.
