On the pledge:
We will aim to increase the capacity and mobilization of agriculture institutions and law enforcement agencies to take action in the prevention, identification, and referral of children in HCL in agriculture.
On the implementation:
We will organise one-day workshops on agriculture and rural development operating at the municipal level, include the list of hazardous activities in agriculture banned for children below 18 years of age in the Contract of the Agency for Rural Development with farmers/beneficiaries of grants, and incorporate a specific clause on child labour in forestry in the Law on Forestry.
On the impact:
This Action Pledge will allow us to mobilize action in prevention, identification, referral, and tracking of children in HCL in agriculture and forestry, to inform farmers across Kosovo about hazardous activities in agriculture banned for children below 18 years of age and related risks, and to refer children involved in HCL in agriculture to Centres for Social Work for protection.
