On the pledge:
We will identify workplaces in the informal sector that tend to engage child labour, conduct programs to eliminate the use of children as labourers, and ensure children are protected as required by the labour if they are engaged lawfully.
On the implementation:
We will identify workplaces that engage children's for employment and develop a list of such employment in the identified zone/division, conduct awareness sessions on national labor law on the employment of child and ILO Conventions ratified on Child Labour, explore and develop strict mechanisms for stakeholder involvement for enforcement of such laws, and partner with relevant stakeholders including the ILO.
On the impact:
This Action Pledge will deter workplaces from engaging in child labour and raise the awareness of the national labour laws and the role of unions at workplaces in monitoring.
