On the pledge:
We will support and implement the realization of the rights of all children in accordance with the four core principles of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC): non-discrimination, devotion to the best interests of the child, the right to life, survival, and development, and respect for the views of the child.
On the implementation:
We will appoint a consultant to assist with the work plan from 2021 to 2025, that will be the main guide for OCC to carry its duty to protect and empower child rights in Malaysia.
On the impact:
By advocating, promoting, and monitoring issues in Malaysia, we will be able to monitor and investigate any violation of children’s rights - including child labour.
