On the pledge:
We will work closely with our affiliates in child labour endemic countries to implement interventions to create awareness on curbing the digital divide exacerbated by COVID-19 and addressing child labour.
On the implementation:
We will propose interventions at various levels: global advocacy and networking, ground-level interventions to mitigate digital exclusion for workers’ families, specifically children, and expanding stakeholders cooperation (Government, Employers and CSOs/TUs).
On the impact:
This Action Pledge aims to create wide awareness on the issue of child labour, initiate ground-level actions in partnership with its affiliates in child labour endemic areas, and look into policy gaps to address digital exclusion and school drop-outs exacerbating child labour.
