On the pledge:
We will work on updating the official data on child labour in the Philippines, which will enable the different stakeholders to come up with an accurate analysis of the situation and appropriate interventions.
On the implementation:
We will release the updated estimates on child labour in the Philippines, implement nationally the Strategic Helpdesks for Information, Education, Livelihood and Other Developmental Interventions (SHIELD) Against Child Labour Project, and provide livelihood and skills training to parents, guardians, and older siblings of child labourers.
On the impact:
This Action Pledge will aim to provide a more accurate picture of the child labour situation in the Philippines, strengthen horizontal and vertical linkages for the profiling of child labourers, and provide families with a source of income to meet their basic needs.
