On the pledge:
In coordination with the Ministry of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs, we will conduct an awareness raising business forum and training workshops for employers on the prevention of child labour.
On the implementation:
We will organize a national level business forum involving SMEs as well as big brands on labor issues, including child labor. We will also conduct training workshops for employers on the prevention of child labour and adapt the ILO-IOE Child Labour Guidance Tool for Business to the Vietnamese context.
On the impact:
Businesses operating in Vietnam will receive support to prevent and reduce child labour in both their production and business activities in the supply chain, especially in the sectors of garment and footwear, seafood processing, stone/wood carving, and traditional handicrafts.
