On the pledge:
On 7 May 2019, Burkina Faso adopted the National Strategy 2019-2023 to Combat the Worst Forms of Child Labour (SN/PFTE) in Burkina Faso. It is being implemented through triennial rolling action plans. To continue its implementation, a new operational action plan appears necessary to cover the period 2022-2023.
On the implementation:
End of June: creating a draft Operational Action Plan 2022-2023. End of December: approval and adoption of the draft by the steering committee.
On the impact:
Through this pledge, all partners fighting child labour are located within Burkina Faso's commitment not only to end child labour, particularly its worst forms, but to rehabilitate children who have already been subjected to it. The Operational Action Plan is a national benchmark for the incorporation of local actions on the issue.
